Hi Everyone,

I've just seen this sentence on the net:

Shouldn't it read...

He drove as fast as he could?

Cheers,

He drove as fast as he can.

Could is used to talk about past ability. 'He' is still able to drive at that speed provided that 'he' is still alive.^^
