Does it sound clumsy when 'a' is written twice, before 'thin' as well as 'blue'? Do we normally say 'in blue shirt' or 'in a blue shirt'? I seem to recall reading it both ways. The woman in nightie, the man in blue suit etc. etc.
Top answer
The articles are fine. You cannot have 'in blue shirt'. You are mistaken if you think you have read it in any reputable text.
