Using "also" at the end of a sentence

I've noticed this trend for quite some while now.
Is this standard? Orthodox to use in a FORMAL document, though?

I'm not an authority on this issue, but in my opinion it's not standard. fraze.it shows nearly 4,000 examples of it, but they all seem infelicitous to my ear. I would not recommend it in formal writing.
