Using 'a' with two ordinal nos. joined by 'and'

Is this correct? For this reason, a third and fourth NH structure are introduced?or should it be revised asFor this reason, a third and a fourth NH structure are introduced?I feel the second 'a' is very much required to justify the singularity of 'structure' in both cases and also to justify the plural verb for two singular 'structures'. Am i right? Can someone help me out on this?Thanks,Lovely
