Using 2 words with similar meanings in a paragraph

Hi. I am writing a paragraph and I do not want to repeat the same vocabulary for the whole paragraph. It sounds repetitive and boring even to me. For instance, "direction" and "instruction". I started the paragraph by talking about instructions and stuff, and then the next two paragraph when I talk about instruction again, I substitute the word with "direction". Is it confusing for me to substitute a word? I just do not want my paragraph to feel repetitive.
