I actually searched the dictionary and I found:

uncountable, countable]the way in which words are used in a language

current English usage

It's not a word in common usage.

2[uncountable]the fact of something being used; how much something is used

land usage

Car usage is predicted to increase.

I didn't have to check any dictionaries. I use those words quite often. The plural "usages" doesn't come up as often as the singular does but it's certainly not rare.
