I'm studying 'the grammar book an ESL/EFL Teacher's course'
on page 281, it says,

Frame1 : Girl standing at front door with Snoopy says:
There's a dog here who wants to come in.
Frame 2: Snoopyp thinks:
Not "a" dog... "The" dog

"dog" in the cartoon refers to 'Snoopy'? and he's saying that he is 'the' dog, not 'a' dog?
