Hi,A question asked before about the use of "used to",attracted my attention to learn more about it but to be honest I was open-mouthed because I thought I knew the real meaning but in fact I don't.Could you please explain more ?First,what is the exact difference between "be used to and get used to"in these sentences ?.1- I got used to living in a noisy street.2- I was used to living in a noisy street.Second,Is there any difference between these two sentences ?1- I used to live in a noisy street.2- I was used to living ina noisy street.My explanations is: 1-I used to live in a noisy street= I lived in a noisy street but not anymore.2-I was used to live in  a noisy street= I was accustomed to living in .....and I didn't find living in a noisy street unusual.;does it mean that NOW I find living in ....normal ?).3- I got used to living in a noisy street = I became accustomed to living in a ....because it HAD BEEN strange;does it have the same meaning as the second sentence ?,that is,NOW I find living in a ...normal ?.Third question : Used to and would both refer to past actions and  habits.So,is there any difference between them ?.1- I would go camping on weekends.2- I used to go camping on weekends.Last question,is it true that "used to" is NOT  used to say "how many times" ?I used to go jogging three times a week.I used to go to the gym several times.So sorry for writing too many questions but it really got into my nerves when I was stuck and couldn't understand differences.Thanks in advance.

2- I was used to living in a noisy street.- This is the condition: I am familiar and comfortable with the noise.

1- I used to live in a noisy street.- Before, I lived there.
2- I was used to living in a noisy street.- Before, I was comfortable living there.

3- I got used to living in a noisy street = I became accustomed to living in a ....This says nothing more than that.

Used to and would both refer to past actions and habits.-- The latter is more formal, less used.

Last question,is it true that "used to" is NOT used to say "how many times" ?-- No.
I used to go jogging three times a week.-- OK
I used to go to the gym several times a week.-- OK

I'm afraid I didn't get the meaning.why is it called "get-passive" and what do you mean the initiation of the condition.

I was comfortable,does it mean I am no longer ?,does it mean also that I am still living there ?.

It is called 'get-passive' because it is a passive voice form using 'get' instead of 'be'. 'Get' = 'become', the beginning of a condition.

For your other sentences: they say nothing about the present. Simple past says nothing about the present. Compare:

I got used to living in a noisy street then, too.
OR
I used to be used to using a straight razor, but I still haven't gotten used to using a safety razor.

2- You said that : I was used to living in a noisy street.- Before, I was comfortable living there,and it has nothing to do with present,but what if students ask me what about now ?do the sentence I was used to living in a noisy street. mean that when I lived there ,I was comfortable which means I'm not there anymore or I moved to another place ?

3- what about this one too : I got used to living in a noisy street = I became accustomed to living in a ....This says nothing more than that.Does it mean that it became ususal to me and I moved after that ?.
