Is this correct?

You used to need to have money in your account to even watch stream on the app. Now you don't need to have money in your account.

Thanks

anonymous Is this correct? Yes, but I want to say no. It's one of those sentences that sounds stranger and stranger the more you repeat it, but it's fine to say "used to need to".

  • Yes, but I want to say no.
  • It's one of those sentences that sounds stranger and stranger the more you repeat it, but it's fine to say "used to need to".
  • Some would make it "You used to have to …", which is no less seemingly strange.
  • I've never seen "watch stream" before, with "stream" as a noun meaning "video in real-time download", but it is a natural extension of the new verb "to stream", and I won't be surprised to see it again.
