used to in a question

would you say,

What did you use to do?

of

What did you used to do?

i think the first one is correct, but i find both on the internet

Both spellings are acceptable (and they are pronounced identically). According to Swan, some people find the d -spelling with did incorrect. If you wish to be formally correct, I suggest you use What used he to do?

The first one is OK. The second cannot be correct because we cannot use the past tense of 'use' after 'did'.Only the present can be used here.
