Can we use "used to" in the folloing way?
He used to like sweets when he was ten.
He used to watch cartoons on TV when he was ten.
Or maybe one year is too short period of time for "used to"?

I used to watch cartoons on TV.
The above is fine. It is simply a past event.
Those days I watched cartoons and nowadays (may be) I watch football.
