Vocabulary

use/application

Should I use application or use? Literal translation would be application.

Is there such thing as engine petrol? Can you please check the rest of my sentence? Thank you

Refinery products and their use (application)

The most important refinery products are: liquid gas, (engine) petrol, jet/aviation fuel, engine oils, lubricants, paraffin, bitumen and fuel oil. All these products, except for their primary function, have to satisfy the ecological demands.

Hi,

Refinery products and their use (application)

For the paragraph as given, I find this title rather inappropriate. The paragraph just lists refinery products, but says little or nothing about their use/application.

Thank you all.

Clive, this is not the whole paragraph. There is more text which accounts for the title.

Thank you once again very much.

Kind regards,

Mister Micawber,

The term that you used automotive petrol - does it have any synonyms?

I confess that I coined the phrase, Antonia. According to one online source, vehicle fuel is divided into: motor gasoline, distillate (diesel) fuel, and jet fuel. There are probably alternatives, not least the BrE petrol for AmE gasoline.

fuel oil is commonly used and describes everything you need.use consider instead of satisfy.primary functions not function.
