Please correct. Write the way you would say it. Can you write for that purpose and 'in a laptop configuration'?

The best laptop for that purpose/use would be the MacBook. It has everything he'll need, and it is the most basic Mac in a laptop configuration. It's the lease powerful one in terms of configuration/specs.
