Use of "would maybe" vs "might" and alternatives

Dear all,

would you say that the following sentence is acceptable:

"A positive aspect is that it would maybe help the children of poor families [...]"

I'm concerned with the "would maybe". It just sounds slightly off to me, and kind of inappropriate in formal writing. I'd rather use "might". Or are there specific situations where "would maybe" is more/less acceptable?

Thank you!
