Use of "would" in this sentence.. something wrong?

A couple of months ago, I would have bet that oil would probably peak out this summer in the upper $60's, and possibly move back through the psychological $70 mark, but it is starting to look like I would have been wrong.

The first "would" is fine. I understand the second "would" to mean "I would have been wrong if I had made that bet", but, being picky, it doesn't seem quite right. look like I was wrong".

The first "would" is fine. I understand the second "would" to mean "I would have been wrong if I had made that bet", but, being picky, it doesn't seem quite right. I think I would say "...look like I was wrong".
