Use of would and could for future

1. He projected his son because he would not have got a ticket in the upcoming elections.

2. He projected his son because he could not have got a ticket in the upcoming elections.

3. He projected his son as he was unlikely to get a ticket in the upcoming elections.

4. He projected his son for the fear that he might not get a ticket in the upcoming elections.

Could you please explain as to which of above sentences is grammatically correct.

They are all odd. What do you mean by "projected his son"? Do you perhaps mean that the speaker proposed his son as a candidate because he (the speaker) thought that he (the speaker) would not be selected?
