Hello everyone,
I am just wondering about the usage of word "apparently",
I have checked it out on some English Learning sites but
I am not satisfied with their answers. I read sentences in which apparently
is used as an adverb and from all that I feel like
It's used for the ultimate conclusion based on evidences .
For example :- "Good!" said the Rhetor quickly, apparently satisfied with this answer."
In the above example it seems like in the end Rhetor was satisfied with the answer more likely after having a long conversation with someone finally satisfied.
Just tell me I am right or not and if not please describe it.
apparently does not mean 'ultimtely ' or 'in the end'. Broadly speaking, the word is used when talking about how something appears or seems. eg The road is wet.
