Use of whose

I have a doubt concerning the use of "whose".

If I say

I visited a beautiful museum whose art collection is very valuable
or

this is a house whose color is blue

it sounds right; but if I say:

I visited this beautiful museum whose art collection is very valuable.

this is my house whose color is blue

somehow it sounds weird to me; are they correct anyway? if not, why?

Thanks

They are OK. They sound wierd because that's not how we would usually express the ideas in conversation: I visited a beautiful museum that has a very valuable art collection. This is my blue house.
