use of was and were

if we use was with he she or any singular pronoun than why we use were with you.when it is also used as singular pronoun. e.g i was there but ;;you were not....why i did not use was with you.

it has nothing to do with singular or plural pronouns. you just have to memorize it.
I , he she, it + was
you, they , we + were
just like we have
I + am
you, they , we + are
he, she , it + is
Nothing is more simple. Don't complicate it

The use of the singular forms of 'you' (e.g., 'thou wast') dropped out of English centuries ago. Now we use only the plural forms (e.g., 'you were') for both singular and plural.
