Use of wanting

Hi

Do the following sentences (or the use of "wanting") sound natural to native ears?

I have been wanting to see you for the past 3 months.
She's been wanting to get back here for years.
Are you really wanting to go out in this weather?
I really don't understand what this child is wanting right now.

Thanks,

Tom

The first two sound OK because it is continuing over a length of time. The second two are relatively instantaneous, so they sound odd in continuous form.
