Use of " used to"

The meeting was unusually reticent although everyone in attendance was used to involve in discussions about fiscal policy and strategic alignment.

In this sentence, is " was used to involve" right? .To me , either " used to involve or was used to involving " seems right.Am I right?

"Everyone ... was used to being involved in discussions..." "involve" is a transitive verb and needs a direct object, so "was used to involve in discussions" is not correct.
