Use of ungenerous

Hi

Is the use of ungenerous OK in these sentences? Is the use of this word common among native speakers?

I believe it would be rather ungenerous not to share your poems with others.
You do not want to sing? I think it would be very ungenerous of you.
[said to a singer who everyone in a party wants to sing]

In the first sentence, it is not totally clear who is being ungenerous. In conversation "do not" is normally contracted to "don't". Otherwise they're OK.
