I was wondering if it is appropriate to use the word 'traversing' in the context of a date. I am doing a project that covers both pre-World War II and post-war history, so in that sense wanted to write that I am 'traversing 1945', a date that is usually used to mark either the beginning or end of histories in this period.
Thanks!
