Use of to particle

It's not very idiomatic.

You have two ways to make it much better.

1. Change "to eat" to "eating".

2. Use "it" instead of "to eat", and place "to eat" at the end.

Oh, it works all right, but usually this pattern is reserved for lofty, poetic thoughts. At least that's been what I have observed. The fun of eating didn't strike me as particularly lofty!
