Use of the words 'book' and 'section'

Hi

We use book and section something like this. Is this natural to your ears?

(When someone is arrested and charged)

  1. He has been booked under what section?
  2. It's ridiculous that he has been booked under section 241 only for a minor theft.

Thanks,

Tom
