Use of the word "then"

Hi. Are they correct? I think the usual sentence pattern for no. 1 goes something like "If we have reached the decision, then it wouldn't be hard to come up with the decision as to what to do next." (if I am not mistaken).

1. Once we have reached this decision, then it wouldn't be hard to come up with the decision as to what to do next.

2. Read through the clues, then see if you can work out the problem.

If I am not mistaken the two sentences that you corrected are representative of first conditional sentences. Could we have use the modal verb "should" in first conditional sentences like this (borrowing the two sentences mentioned):

If we have reached a decision, then it shouldn't be hard to come up with the decision as to what to do next.

Yes. I suspect that the third sentence reflects a general aversion to 'shan't'.
