Does the following sentence make sense to you? If not, how can I improve it? I am not sure about the ‘the same as’ phrase.
“If the duration ratio of the portfolio has fallen below 1, then to keep the proportion of the investments in the portfolio constant, we need to reduce the investments by the percentage the same as the decline in the duration ratio.”
I am trying to say that if the duration ratio falls by X% below 1, the investments in the portfolio should also be trimmed down by X%
Thanks,
MG.
