Use of 'the'

1. "Find the attached file for your reference"

2. "Find attached the file for your reference"

Which one is correct? And what are the rules for using 'the' here?

'the' is not the problem. 'attached' is the problem.

It is customary to write "Find attached the file ...". You may think of it as "Find (It is attached) the file ...". It's a fixed expression used only in letter writing, so you may as well think that here the "normal rules" of grammar do not apply.
