Use of that

Greetings and salutations,

I'm a native dutch speaker and I have some difficulties with the use of the word that. For example which of the following sentences is the most correct?

The moment I had so intensely yearned toward...

The moment that I had so intensely yearned toward...

Thanks in advance!
