Use of talk with objects?

Hello is it appropriate to say "it's talking now for a computer"

Please help to me look at it in this context;

There is a laptop, which is inaudible (no sound) when a movie is being played on it, I helped by fixing it, then I asked the owner, "how is it?"...............he replied..............."its now talking" because he can nowe hear people talk from the movie shown on the laptop

Please what is the correct english response in a very simple phrase?

Thanks in advance!

" "It's now talking" is not natural, in my opinion. It's something you'd expect to hear from a time traveller from the 1700's who has never before heard a "talking machine"!

I'd say, "The sound is now working."

I agree with Avangi, but there is one more sense of talking. When Americans speak of communications between two electronic devices, the verb "talk" is used. For instance, the laptop is now "talking to the router" means they are exchanging packets. Just in case you encounter talking again in another context.
