My mother qnd me were having a discussion about the use of sting and stung- she had stated `if it stung you` and i quickly interjected to correct to say the right verb to slot in would be sting hwoever shr defended it syaing it is usable- what would be the right cintext of grammactica structute for the use of the past participle of the word e,g if it had stung
