Use of "still" to show surprise

Is it correct to say "she's 30 and she still isn't married" to show surprise when you think it should already have happened?

If so, how do I change this to the first person singular? Would it be "I'm 30 and I'm still not married"?

In this case, could this be used to suggest anxiety?

Thanks!

I believe, in this case, the speaker would be making a remark such as "how can that be? He should have already learned to tell time at his age!" and on the other hand, I imagine the feeling a parent would have if the

I see what you mean!
'still' merely means: up to and including the present
1. He still lives with his mother : nudge nudge wink wink...he's gay

or
2. a specific time referred to:
...and it was still raining when we left for town on the Monday! Perhaps humorously recounting a weekend holiday away that was a disaster.

For surprise:
I don't know how many times she's run back to her mother's after he's knocked her around in some argument. Now he breaks her jaw...and she still takes him back! Women!

takes him back: reconciles with him, resumes their relationship
