Use of Should about a task/work

Is this the correct way? (All I wanted to say is maybe I will finish the task today and I move on to next one)

I should be able to finish the task that I was working on right now by today

or any better way

I should be able to finish the task by the end of the day. If you insist on including the information that you are working on that task right now, you'll do better to split it off into another clause: I'm working on a task right now, but I should be able to finish it by the end of the day. CJ
