Use of 'see'

The verb 'see' seems to have many uses:

1. I saw Peter run away.

2. I saw Peter running away.

Besides, 'see' can be followed by a that-clause.

3. I saw (that) Peter ran away. / I saw Peter ran away.

The third one seems to be incorrect, but isn't it grammatical?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Calvinshli It isn't grammatical too. " Here "saw" denotes past and there is no need for another reference to past.

Hi Calvinshli

It isn't grammatical too.

We say "He saw his brother eat (not ate) the cake."

Here "saw" denotes past and there is no need for another reference to past.
