Hi,

Do these sentences sound o.k. to a native speaker?

1. She became the first Hispanic judge in American history to be seated on the Supreme Court

2. There are nine judges seated on the Supreme Court. The number was set by Congress.

At the risk of coming across as a pedant I think you mean "schemed" here.

The fact of the matter is that I posted the question with "skimmed", then ran my eye over what I'd posted and something didn't feel right about "skim". Then it came to me that I misspelled "scheme". And
