She named her dog and cat Jenny and Robo respectively.
I came across this in a newspaper and was doubtful if is correct.
If this system is implemented, students who want to pursue medicine or engineering will drop mathematics and biology respectively.
Please give your views.
I'm thinking they got the order wrong and it should be ... will drop biology or mathematics respectively because medicine seems more related to biology and engineering more to mathematics. Does the context corroborate this view?
