Use of Relative Pronouns

I've tried hard to use some relative pronouns in the following piece but each time the result sounds terrible. One of the main problems that I face is the inevitable separation between the noun and its relative clause.

Would you please help? How can I connect these three sentences in the best way?

"The gatherer of the poems of Judu is commonly known as Miti Su.

In his preface to the collection, he mentions the literary importance of Judu’s poetry.

This preface also contains some important information, particularly about the life of Miti Su."

And one more question: Is the word "gatherer" appropriate? (The poet himself did not gather and organize his poems.)

Thanks in advance

The author of this anthology of the poems of Judu is commonly known as Miti Su, who, in the preface, gives his biography, the literary importance of Judu’s poetry, and other relevant information. The author of an anthology is also called a compiler of another artist's works.
