I recently wrote a prospective employer that their office would be "an ideal environment for me to grow..." Now I'm kicking myself because I feel like I omitted an "in which" somewhere.
For example, are both of these correct?
1) Hawaii is the perfect environment to grow orchids.
2) Hawaii is the perfect environment in which to grow orchids.
And with my email, doesn't "an ideal environment in which I could grow..." sound a bit odd?
