Use of off
Can we use "off" to mean "from" in informal english as in "He stole some money off the company."

Debpriya DeCan we use "off" to mean "from" in informal english as in "He stole some money off the company."You can, but it is so very, very informal that it's more like slang, and your use of it may make your listener think that you are not very well educated.
