Use of ‘nevertheless’

Have I correctly used the conjunction ‘nevertheless’ in the following sentence? Can I interchange it with ‘nonetheless’?

Most authorities consider graffiti a form of vandalism. Nevertheless, some people insist that it is an art form, not vandalism.
