Use of "neat"

Hi

Can we use the word neat for someone's stitching or cutting of hair etc?

The new tailor's stitching was not very neat.

Your barber's cutting is pretty neat.

Our new gardener's work is far from neat.

Thanks,

Tom

I don't like that one. I would use "work" instead of "cutting" in it. Alternatively, I would refer to the actual haircut as "(pretty) neat."
