Use of josh

Hi

One of my Oxford dictionaries says that josh is an informal word. Could you please tell me how often it is used or heard in everyday English?

I was just joshing you.

Thanks,

Tom

I never hear that in Canada. What I say and hear is I was just kidding.

It's American, but a bit out of style. I used to hear it a lot, but not so much any more.
