Use of it

I accidentally used the same word at the beginning of one sentence and at the end of another. Is this OK? I didn't notice it until now, and it reads fine aloud.

He never pressures me into talking when I’m upset, and I am always grateful for it. It was then that I felt the desire to tell him my secret.
