My boss at my last workplace asked me to give her "the inaugural pass to the building". It was the first pass that I had, but it was somebody else's before. Did she use "inaugural "in the right context? Thanks

I suppose that 'inaugural pass' means an initial tour.

The inaugural pass sounds like the first pass ever issued to any employee, eg to the first person to be employed there. . A more common term for this would be eg the first pass.
