Use of "in moderation"

Hi

Does the use of in moderation sound natural here? Any other better phrase?

  1. She does not talk a lot nor too little. She always speaks in moderation.
  2. Mr. Singh did not eat a lot nor too little. He always ate in moderation.

Thanks,

Tom

Your uses of "in moderation" are fine; however: Moderation avoids excess, so to achieve parity with regards to excess between a lot, which describes abundance not necessarily in excess, and too little, which describes paucity in excess, you would say She talks neither too much nor too little and Mr. Singh ate neither too much nor too little.
