use of ''if'' and ''but''

0 Some words almost always appear in pairs in sentences, such as 01i00neither-nor02i00, 01i00either-or02i00, etc. The use of such pairs is covered under the topic of 01i01b00coordinate conjunctions02b02i00 in my book. But I remember my teacher once told me that 01i01b00but02b02i00 and 01b01i00if02i00 02b00also come in pair, as in 01i01font00I'm not sure if your sentence is correct but I believe it is grammatically correct02font02i00. My book doesn't list use of 01i00but02i00 and 01i00if02i00. 01b01font00Are 01i00if02i00 and 01i00but02i00 coordinate conjunctions?02font02b00 0-
