Use of Hyphen

Hi ... Would much appreciate if you could let me know if the use of hyphen is correct after "downtime". Should I use a semi-colon instead of hyphen after downtime? (I want to highlight that "porcelain-to-metal" is the service that is being described, so have used a hyphen)

Your dentist has an alternative solution that requires less preparation of tooth structure, and less downtime - porcelain-to-metal.

The hyphen is not good—use an em dash (ALT-0151), instead. A colon works, too.
