can i say " . i have been aware of what she is writing , thanks to controversy , they always kicked up in newspaper and news channels .?

Minishka Sharma i have been aware of what she is writing I think that this is better: I am aware of what she has been writing. Sorry, but the rest just doesn't make enough sense to me to be able to comment, especially "kicked up".
