Use of "half of the way"

Hi, everybody !

Could you tell me if any of these phrases sound natural ?:

1. I was half of the way home
2. I was half of the way to work
3. I was three quarters of the way home
4. I was three quarters of the way to work

Do they mean that I had made half/three quarters of the way home/to work?

Thanks !
Alex.
