Use of "Got done"

Hi

Is the use of "got done" common and natural in such sentences?

A - What's up?
B - Just got done teaching my students.

A - Are you coming with us?
B - No, I just got done cooking and am very tired.

Thanks,

Tom

PS: Which one is better? ...and I am very tired or and am very tired.

In ordinary conversation it would normally be "... and I'm very tired". "... and am ..." is mostly for written English.
